Martin Harris is a writer, editor, and teacher who has reported on poker, online gambling, and sports betting since the mid-2000s. An English Ph.D. and former full-time college professor, he currently teaches part-time in the American Studies program at UNC Charlotte. His book Poker & Pop Culture: Telling the Story of America's Favorite Card Game was published by D&B Books in 2019. He and his wife take care of their horses and cats on a small farm in North Carolina.
